PANTHER logo

PANTHER is for another NOAA/HATS instrument, funded by NASA. The acronym stands for PAN and Trace Hydrohalocompounds ExpeRiment, a combination GC-MS and GC-ECD to measure PAN and other compounds. The logo shows a chromatogram of the mass fragments of PAN, the northern hemisphere (where the instrument will be deployed) and, of course, the obligatory animal, a Panther, what else? The rim includes the logos of NOAA and NASA as well as the well-known group name. For the background, I applied one of Corel Draw's beautiful bitmap patterns, which gives the entire logo its kick and elegant (I think) appearance.

No info exists on the mission yet. The instrument can be deployed on the ER-2, WB-57B or a balloon. PANTHER - the project.
